Tossed opens first 'cashless' restaurant using pointOne technology

Tossed - “the healthier eating place” - today opened Europe’s first cashless food-to-go outlet at Coleman Street in the heart of the City of London.

Launching the completely cashless store is part of a wider plan by Tossed to embrace the opportunities that technology presents and, ultimately, to remove paper from its shops.  The ultimate goal is to streamline its front-of-house operations, deliver a better guest experience and improve its back-of-house support functions. 

Tossed’s new instore self-service kiosks, developed by pointOne EPoS provide guests with time to browse the menu and order at their own speed.  The Coleman Street shop offers guests 15 kiosks, which is over twice as many till points as any existing Tossed store, and is supplemented by a dedicated collection point for online and App orders.  Tossed plan to rollout the kiosk & web solutions to the rest of their 26-strong estate, which serve their health-conscious guests with salads, wraps, hot food, smoothies, juices & breakfast egg combos.
