Ottolenghi opened their first deli 17 years ago at Notting Hill. Large displays of salads and cakes have become synonymous with the Ottolenghi vegetable centric delis and restaurants. Ottolenghi's Soho restaurant - NOPI has drawn inspiration from both the Middle East and Asia whilst their latest restaurant, ROVI in Fitzrovia serves a menu with vegetables at its heart but with a fresh focus on fermentation and cooking over fire.
The challenge: "sourcing an EPoS solution that could give centralised reporting remotely"
Having multiple locations and a mixture of dine-in and takeaway meant Ottolenghi needed an EPoS system that had the flexibility to work across these varying requirements and integrate with their existing stock control software.
Their original EPoS supplier only offered reporting at a single location level which was very limiting when trying to make location-wide price changes or analysing buying trends for example. Ottolenghi needed a centralised solution that management could easily access remotely.
Their Belgravia and Notting Hill sites were predominately set up for takeaway, with a busy lunchtime trade that required a reliable and efficient EPoS to quickly process orders. On the flip side, their restaurants required the ability to take orders at the table and be sent directly to the kitchen for fulfilment.

We were able to install our flexible EPoS solution with the Head Office Management module into their first site before rolling it out across all their sites. In addition, we installed our tableside ordering tablets into their ROVI site to enable a slick service between their front and back office fulfilment - essential when running a busy high-cover restaurant.
